19-Year-Old Man Arrested For Trailing Married Women To Toilet For S*x

A 19-year old man, Waris Rasheed has been apprehended in Lagos for trailing senior female staff to their company’s bathroom and begging them for short time s*x during working hours.

Based on the report,the incident happened inside the premises of the company called Imperior International limited placed at Ayodele Diyan Road in Ikeja, Lagos where he was employed as a employee.

Rasheed was said not to have spared married female staff who he trailed daily to the bathroom while begging for sex. The police didn't state if he had succeeded in luring those women who were revealed to be older than him into the act.

Some said if he had not succeeded, he would not have been trying such on the ladies. He was charged before the Ogba Magistrates court for sexual harassment and remanded in prison custody.

According to the police at Area F Command, Ikeja, the defendant on 5th November, 2018, sexually harassed the victims namely Olusola Bolaji, Victoria Daniel and Alawodo Abosode, all staff of the company inside the premises.

He was said to have been asking for sexual favour during work hours when he was supposed to be working. He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Donny Raphael, did not oppose his bail but asked the court to give a date for trial. Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted Rasheed bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The Rasheed was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition. The matter was adjourned till 10th December, 2018, for mention.

Criminal Who Breaks Into Ekweremadu's House Confesses

The principal suspect within the alleged assassination attempt on Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, Mohammed Yusuf, 25 has confessed that they solely were on a mission to steal and not for assassination.

“We did not go to the residence of Ekweremadu to assassinate him or anybody in the house,” he said.

He told newsmen that he had been stealing for five years without using gun and that his colleague, Dan Ali, escaped while he was caught.

The confession of Yusuf may have corroborated the preliminary investigation that the attack on the home of the top senator was not an assassination attempt.

The police arrested four of its personnel on duty at the residence of Ekweremadu and also one personnel of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) who were on duty at Ekweremadu’s home at the time.

Initial reports say Ekweremadu, his wife and son, allegedly escaped assassination attempt at their Apo residence of Abuja early hours of Tuesday.

Ekweremadu, according to reports, narrowly escaped an alleged attempt on his life in Abuja on Nov. 17, 2015.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Jimoh Mohood, said that those arrested were being investigated.

He said that there was no cover-up by the police in the investigation of the crime.

“The four policemen and one personnel of the NSCDC on duty at the residence of the deputy senate president at the time of the incident have been arrested and detained,” he said.

The Force spokesman said that it was not correct that the police responded after seven hours when the incident had occurred.

He said that further investigation had showed that the incident was not an assassination attempt on the life of Ekweremadu.

“Update on further investigation did not reveal assassination attempt but a burglary attempt,” he said.

He added that the investigation so far revealed that the suspects in the case did not have idea that the residence belonged to the deputy president of the senate.

Moshood said that efforts are being intensified to arrest the second suspect, Dan Ali, who escaped from the scene of the crime.

He said that the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, had directed the upgrade of Apo legislative quarters outpost to a divisional police headquarters.

Others to be upgraded, according to him, are Supreme Court, Kabusa and Trademore estate.

He explained that the upgrade was to reduce crime and criminal acts in the affected areas and improve police visibility in the FCT.

Police Arrests Nurse That Sells Baby Placentas To Muslim Clerics

The Kwara state police command has paraded the nursing attendant, Fatima Suleiman, who allegedly sold a newborn baby’s placenta for N20,000 to a muslim cleric, Salaudeen Ibrahim on Thursday.

Recall that two days past, we reported how the nurse who works with the Capstone Hospital, Taiwo Road, Ilorin, was apprehended when the father of the baby demanded for the placenta of his newborn child. 

When she was unable to present the placenta, the medical director of the hospital contacted the police and she was arrested.

Speaking after she was paraded, the state Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Fafowora, said on October 31, 2018 at about 2pm, one Bashirat Jimoh, a pregnant woman and wife of Abdulfatai Jimoh of Gaa Akanbi area of Ilorin, was due to be delivered of a baby, but developed complications and was referred to Capstone Hospital on Taiwo Road, Ilorin, for a caesarean section by the General Hospital.

“Upon a successful surgery carried out on Bashirat by Dr Jamiu Mohammed on the same date, Mohammed handed over the placenta of the newborn baby to his hospital attendant, Fatima Suleiman of Agaka area of Ilorin, to give same to Abdulfatai Jimoh, the father of the new baby; but instead, the suspect, Suleiman, delivered the placenta to one Salahudeen Ibrahim to use for a charm, with the hope of getting monetary rewards from Ibrahim. The suspects were arrested; they have confessed to the crime and will soon appear in court.”

When interrogated, the nurse said she was a friend to Ibrahim’s wife and that the cleric asked her to get the placenta about two months ago.

“The cleric asked me to get it (placenta). I succeeded in getting one just last week. It’s my first time of engaging in it. He has not given me any money yet, neither did he promise me a certain amount of money. He didn’t tell me what he wanted to use it for,” she stated.

The muslim cleric said he collected the placenta and wanted to use it for money ritual

“She (Ibrahim) told me that she heard that people were using placenta to make charms to curry people’s favour. I said it was true. That was the last I heard from her until she brought the placenta. After she handed over the placenta to me, my conscience rejected it though I inherited the charm-making practise, and I said I won’t do it. When I didn’t do it for myself, why for someone else?” he said

Police Arrests A Teenager That Killed A Nigerian In London

According to the report gathered, a 16-year-old girl was arrested this morning Friday, 9 November at an address in south London on suspicion of murder. She is currently in custody at a south London police station.

Police were called at around 12:30hrs on Sunday, 4 November to reports of a stabbing in Samos Road, SE20. Officers, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended and found 22-year-old Ayodeji Habeeb Azeez suffering stab injuries. Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:59hrs.

A post-mortem examination which took place at Princess Royal Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday, 6 November gave his cause of death as multiple stab wounds .

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, led by Detective Chief Inspector Mark Cranwell, investigate. DCI Cranwell said:

“This attack took place in the middle of the day, in broad daylight in a residential street. It goes without saying that this incident would have stood out in what would normally have been a quiet environment.

“It appears that four or five male suspects were involved in the attack; both they and Ayodeji were seen to run into Samos Road from Grace Mews. By this point Ayodeji had been attacked. The suspects fled in one direction while Ayodeji went the other way before he collapsed.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area on Sunday afternoon and saw this attack, or the events surrounding the attack, to come forward and speak to police. This includes trying to establish if anyone was with Ayodeji when he was attacked.

“My officers are making progress as to why Ayodeji was in the area, why he came to be attacked and who was responsible for his murder, but we need information from the public to assist us in keeping the momentum of this investigation moving forward.”

300 Level Benue State University Lady Killed By Robbers

Seiyefa Fred, a student of the Niger Delta University, was, last night, shot dead by some robbers attempting to grab her phone.

According to reports, Seiyefa had stepped out at Amaranta, Yenegoa, Bayelsa State, to shop for Suya for her mother.

However, while returning, she was accosted within their compound and shot dead while combating the robbers, who thenceforth left together with her phone.

Benue State's Undergraduate Student Killed By Cultist

The Benue State Police Command has reportedly apprehended a suspected cultist over the murder of one Oketa Simon, a 300 level Mass Communication undergraduate of Benue State University.

Simon, also a suspected cultist, was shot dead on the 6th of November, 2018, during a farm opposite Rahama Clinic brand II Makurdi. The Police also arrested 18-year-old Samuel Ochoechi, a non student joined to the crime.

The suspect during investigation, confessed to have conspired with three others namely; Bem Uper aka Movement, Viper and Chemical, all members of the Red Confraternity and killed the deceased who is said to be a member of the Black Confraternity over a missing Jean trouser.

While effort was ongoing to arrest his accomplices, the said Bem Uper aka Movement, a 400 level Theatre Arts undergraduate of same University, was hacked by rival cult group in retaliation.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 7, beside Kyabiz Filling Station opposite Benue University second gate. Effort is ongoing to arrest all those involved in both killings. They would be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

Samuel’s friends have taken to Facebook to mourn his death.

Robbers Die In Car Accident After Fleeing With Their Loot

Two suspected thieves have died while fleeing with their loot, this morning, in Rivers State. It was gathered that the suspects had snatched the bag of lady and were escaping in their automobile, when they had accident at Tombia Extension, GRA, Port Harcourt.

Unfortunately, an unsound man sitting beside a stairs, was additionally crushed to death when they lost control of the vehicle.

4 Kidnapped Priests Regain Freedom In Delta State

According to new report, the Nigeria Police, Delta Command, confirmed on Saturday that the priests were rescued near Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state.

According to the Police Commissioner , Muhammad Mustafa, the victims were rescued on Friday evening at a location he did not disclose.

The victims were: Rev. Fathers Victor Adigboluja of the Ijebu Ode Diocese; Anthony Otegbola, Abeokuta Diocese; Joseph Ediae, Benin Archdiocese; and Emmanuel Obadjere, Warri Diocese.

They were said to have been on their way to the Seminary of All Saints Uhiele-Ekpoma in Edo on Nov. 6 when they were kidnapped.

The police boss, who earlier said that one of the suspects had been apprehended in connection with the crime, also assured that the police command was trailing the others.

He assured that the other suspects would be arrested and prosecuted.

“They were rescued on Friday and we are on the trail of the other suspects.

” We do not encourage ransom, so no ransom was paid,” Mustafa said.

A reliable source told newsmen that the priests were taken to Benin City for medical attention immediately they regained their freedom.

According to the source the priests were escorted to Benin City by the joint police and military team that rescued them.

The captors had earlier demanded for N4 million as ransom to effect their release.

38-Year-Old Nigerian Arrested For Defrauding Red Cross Over False Claim

In line with report gathered, 38-year-old Nigerian man has been arrested for defrauding the American Red Cross by claiming he was a Hurricane Harvey victim.

Olanrewaju A. Beyioku, was charged, on Thursday, in U.S. District Court with wire fraud on allegations he cashed $3,600 in federal disaster relief vouchers provided by the Red Cross in October 2017. .

The humanitarian organization offered the funds through a one-time cash payment of $400 after Hurricane Harvey struck Houston, Texas, on Aug. 25, 2017.

The victim was provided a reference code, which could be redeemed for cash at Walmart locations. After the program launched in September 2017, the Red Cross received reports non victims were claiming the funds.

“The Red Cross has found over 3,300 reference codes that were fraudulently applied for via its website and used to obtain cash payments at Walmart stores,” records state. “The total loss to the Red Cross is over $1.3 million.” 

Walmart security investigators determined 81 fraudulent transactions committed by two individuals at the Walmart in Hammond. The fraud totaled $32,400.

After an investigation, federal authorities determined 9 of the transaction were conducted by Beyioku. He was identified in a photo array by a clerk at Walmart. Authorities also traced the ill-gotten money back to his bank accounts.

APC Chairman, Adam Oshiomhole Reveals Why He Was Arrested By DSS

Adams Oshiomhole the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has given an insight into why he was quizzed by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).

Report gathered revealed that he was en route to Nigeria after visiting his indisposed wife, Iara, in the US, and subsequently meeting Bola Tinubu, APC national leader, in the UK.

The APC chairman traveled out of the country after he was interrogated by the DSS over allegations of collecting bribe during his party’s primary elections. Speaking during an interaction with editors in Lagos on Saturday, Oshiomhole said he “saw DSS only once and it was a conversation, not an arrest or detention”.

Fear Grips Benue Communities Over The Release Of Top Boko Haram Suspect

According to the information gathered, there has been palpable tension in Benue State following the release of the former Coordinator of the state’s Livestock Guards, Aliu Tershaku, who was alleged by the military to be a member of the Boko Haram.

At the peak of herdsmen attacks on the state, Tershaku was arrested by the military for his alleged involvement in the attacks that claimed over 500 lives as well as displaced about 200,000 persons across the state.

The Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 707 Special Forces Brigade, Makurdi, Major Olabisi Ayeni, had in April said in a statement that the military arrested a “key Boko Haram suspect, known as Aminu Yaminu nicknamed Tershaku.”

The statement read in part, “Following an intelligence report, it was gathered that Aminu had concluded plans with his cohorts in Bauchi, Borno, Yobe and Nasarawa states to launch a major attack on innocent citizens in Benue State.”

Following the arrest, Governor Samuel Ortom had gone ahead to relieve Tershaku, who was until then the state coordinator of Livestock Guard, of his duty. He was thereafter taken to court.

However, few days ago, information filtered round the state that Tershaku had been released and was sighted around his residence in Lobi Quarters, Makurdi.

There were also insinuations that Tershaku after his release had met with some of his supporters, for unverifiable reasons, towards the end of October. This, according to findings, triggered the emergency Security Council meeting held in the state last Tuesday.

The Special Adviser to the governor on security, Col. Paul Hemba (retd.), in a chat with newsmen on Thursday expressed worries over the release of Tershaku.

Hemba disclosed that he had been informed by one of the security agencies that Tershaku was released on bail and that investigation into his case was ongoing.

He explained that the release of Tershaku was discussed at the state Security Council meeting, where approval was given for the dissolution of the Livestock Guard to enable the state government to reconstitute the security outfit and fish out bad eggs, especially those who may be loyal to the former coordinator.

“I wish to use this opportunity to clear the air that government did not disband the Benue State Livestock Guards as being speculated in some quarters,” Hemba stated.

Rapper, Falz Sues NBC Over The Ban On His Viral Song Titled 'This Is Nigeria'

Popular Nigerian musician, Folarin Falana know by his stage name, Falz has sued the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) after placing ban on his viral song titled, ‘This is Nigeria’.

NBC sanctioned a radio station in Jos, JODAJ Global Communications Limited for playing the song but the singer has decided to take legal actions by seeking redress in court for the damages done to him and his brand.

"Court document filed on the 6th of November through Falz’s lawyers Adepetun Caxton-Martin Agbor & Segun (ACAS-Law), the president of the Sweet Boys Association queried the National Broadcasting Commission’s claim that his song, ‘This is Nigeria’ which highlights the socio-political ills of the nation, has any vulgar lyrics in it, further stating through his lawyers that banning this song with no proof to claim “is in flagrant breach of the Plaintiff’s right to the freedom of thought, conscience and expression as guaranteed under the Nigerian laws.”

Falz, through his lawyer demanded one hundred million (100,000,000) naira for damages done to him and his brand, stating that it was a wrong and unconstitutional act of the Defendant.

Find the details of the lawsuit containing some of Falz’s demands below;

1. A declaration that the Defendant’s prohibition of the Plaintiff’s song titled “This Is Nigeria” from being aired by the Nigerian media outfits on the pretext that same is laced with vulgar lyrics is in flagrant breach of the Plaintiff’s right to the freedom of thought, conscience and expression as guaranteed under Sections 38 and 39 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) and to that extent, such prohibition is unconstitutional, null and void.

2. An Order of this Honourable Court setting aside and/or vacating the decision of the Defendant as contained in the letter dated 6th August 2018 and lifting the ban or proscription of the use of the Plaintiff’s song titled, “This Is Nigeria” by any and all Nigerian media outfit/organizations.

3. The sum of N100,000,000 (One Hundred Million Naira to the Plaintiff on the footing of aggravated and exemplary damages for the wrongful and unconstitutional acts of the Defendant.
