Nigerian Man Based In UK Arrested For Drugs

Nigerian man, Ishmael Osamor, 29 who is a Labour councillor was caught with a large amount of drugs at a music festival and has resigned his position following the incident.

The Haringey councillor and son of a Labour MP apologised for the “unwanted attention” his case had brought. Osamor was sentenced to a two-year community order and 20 days rehabilitation, last Friday.

The son of Shadow International Development Secretary Kate Osamor, was caught with ecstasy, cocaine, ketamine and cannabis at the festival in August 2017, nine months before he was elected as a councillor.

In a statement to the council’s chief executive he said: “It is with great regret that I am offering this as formal notice of my resignation as councillor, effective immediately.

“I would like to take the opportunity to apologise to the council, as I have to my ward colleagues and residents, for the unwelcome attention my case has brought to Haringey.”

Osamor resigned at a meeting of the council’s Labour group earlier after calls for him to quit. Councillor Joseph Ejiofor, council leader, said: “Councillor Osamor came to see me on Friday 26 October and explained about an incident that happened in September last year.

“I expressed my concern and disappointment by the actions that he had admitted. “The Labour Party expects high standards from its elected representatives, and I know that Councillor Osamor has taken some personal time over the past four days to review whether his actions have met this expectation.

“Consequently, Ishmael has decided to resign from Haringey Council. We respect his decision.” Osamor admitted three charges of possessing drugs with intent to supply and a fourth charge of possession at Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday, the Local Democracy Reporter Service reported.

Suspected Ritualists Behead A 60-Year-Old Woman In Delta

The victim has been identified as a 60-year-old woman who buys and processes cassava into “garri,”. She was killed this morning and her headless body was spotted in Oghara.

Local reports show that the deceased had stepped out in the early hours of today to start frying her “garri,” when she was attacked.

After cutting off her head, the perpetrators then harvested some vital organs. Her dead body was later found lying just beside her bowl of cassava.

The very sad incidence has left residents thoroughly shocked.

Dating A Man For 5 Years Is A Waste Of Time- Toke Makinwa

30-Year-Old Robber Reveals Why God Wanted Him To Be Arrested

A 30-year-old cross-border suspect, John Godwin, has unconcealed that he was arrested as a result of the fact that he forgot to recite Psalm 121 before going for his last operation.

He added that God wanted to expose him and such is the reason he was arrested by the police after failing to recite Psalm Psalm 121 on that fateful day.

Four other suspects – Solomon Adeniji (27), Tosin Adeoye (25) and two nationals of Republic of Benin, Adewale Adebolaji (45) and Moyori Sule (42) – were arrested alongside with Godwin.

The Zonal Police Public Relations Officer (ZPPRO), CSP Dolapo Badmos, said the suspects used to snatch vehicles in Nigeria drive them to the Benin Republic and hand then over to a receiver identified only as Alhaji.

It was learned that Godwin was a former convict. In an interview with newsmen, he said: “I was once sent to Ibara Prison in Abeokuta for stealing something at a market in Abeokuta. It was in the prison that I came across Tosin.

My parents told me when I was born a pastor and prophesied that I would become a pastor. When I was in the prison I used to preach and pray with my colleagues. It is the devil that drove me to crime.

Whenever we are going on an operation, I usually read Psalm 121. I believe reading the Psalms would give me protection throughout the operation period.

On a fateful day, I was arrested, I forgot to read the Psalms before leaving home. I believe God wanted the police to arrest me so as to quit robbery.”

18-Year-Old Maid Robs Her Employer Of Valuables Worth N500,000

An 18-year-old maidservant, known merely as Queen, is presently on the run when she allegedly scarf her boss property reportedly value N500,000.

It was gathered that the boss known as Omowunmi Odejide had came home from a birthday celebration around 8pm on the day of the incident to see her two kids wandering within the compound.

Odejide stated that she asked of Queen from her neighbours who told her that she went out to purchase something around 7pm and had yet to come back.

The Osun State indigene, who noted that she was reluctant to travel for the party, said Queen encouraged her to travel. The 37-year-old added that Queen went away with one box containing the products she packed from her shop.

She further said Queen went away with her children’s clothes, designer wristwatches and sunshades.

“On Friday, October 19, I went out for a birthday party of one of my friends who turned 40. I did not want to go because I was not in a good mood, but Queen encouraged me to; I did not know that she had something up her sleeve.

“I left home around 12.48pm for Agege where the party held. I came back home around 8pm and met my neighbours and my children in the compound. I asked of my housemaid and one of my neighbours said she went to buy something.

“Before the incident, I had a boutique that I run but due to some issues, I could not continue with it again; so I packed my goods home. When I entered the house on the day of the incident, I noticed that one box containing my goods and my children’s clothes were missing.

“This lady is someone I took in like my daughter because she told me that she lost her mother at a tender age; she looked innocent. I don’t lock the rooms when I go out.

“She went away with the stew I prepared, Rolex wristwatches, expensive sunshade that I sell and the one I used, female and male jeans, long towels, three male wristwatch and 10 female wristwatch, pendants- all worth N500,000.”

Odejide who noted that the suspect might have accomplices said she could not carry all the stolen items alone. The matter had been reported at the Sagamu Road Police Division.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect would be apprehended.

“The matter was reported to us at Sagamu Road Police Division and we hope that with the clues available to us, we will soon apprehend her.

“However, the CP, Lagos State has advised employers of domestic helps to ensure that they are profiled to avoid an incident of this nature.”

Scores Killed, Houses Razed Down As Boko Haram Storm Borno Community

Many people were on Wednesday night killed, while homes were destroyed when Boko Haram insurgents invaded Kofa community in Konduga local government area of Borno State.

While giving account of the incident, Zannah Galadima, a resident revealed that forthwith the insurgents, in their tons, stormed the city, they started shooting individuals.

Galadima said people who couldn't escape were killed, whereas many homes were razed down.

“I ran into the bush for safety, leaving my family and my relatives. I hope they ran away too,” he said.

“They set the village ablaze. I laid down in the bush for about two hours watching the village burn to ashes. From afar, I heard noise of people running helter skelter.”

A military source said troops were deployed in the village but that the insurgents had mixed up with the villagers by the time they got there.

“As I am talking to you now, we are close to the scene of the incident but we cannot strike because it is dark and we cannot differentiate between the insurgents and the villagers,” he said.

“For now, we have been told to be on the alert in case of any unsuspected attack. Troops in Maiduguri have also been briefed.”

More Details Of Lekki Pastor Whose S*x Video With Lover Leaked Storm Internet

The Presiding Pastor of Zion wealth of Life Assembly within the Lekki space of Lagos State, Apostle Chris Omatsola, and his former lover, Tamaratokoni Okpe, have clashed over a s*x video that was leaked on the net.

Okpe, who hailed from Delta State accused Omatsola of releasing the video to force her into wedding with him, the clergyman told newsmen that the video was leaked to blackmail him.

It was gathered that the two estranged lovers dated for about seven months in 2018, during which they had s*xual intercourse, which was filmed.

However, shortly after things fell apart between them, the lurid video emerged on the Internet. Okpe, in her account of the incident, said the pastor had threatened to leak the video after she quit the relationship.

Her words:

“I met Apostle Chris Kevwe Omatsola, the founder and pastor of Zionwealth of Life Assembly (Zola) in Lekki, Lagos, and we started dating in February 2018. It quickly escalated to a sexual relationship and when we had s*x the first time, he told me that we should make it right by getting married. We continued our romance and one of the things we did together was recording videos and taking pictures of our intimacy.

“I informed my mum about a guy coming for my hand in marriage and she said she was going to pray about it. Everything was rosy until he became violent and constantly beat me up till I bled. He came begging after each episode and I forgave him.”

She said by July, she had become indifferent about the relationship. Okpe alleged that the cleric’s temperament and constant assault of her also discouraged her.

“In August, I called off the relationship and I was surprised that he accepted it in good faith initially, given his penchant for violence.

“Sometime in August, he asked that we meet to talk on platonic grounds. During the meeting, he became hostile when he realised that I was no longer interested in him. He also refused to drop me off at home. He beat me up, seized my phone, forced me to unlock it and retrieved contacts from it just to track who I was seeing.

“That was the final straw for me; so I never saw him again till September when he showed up at my place, crying and begging. I refused to fall for his tricks and there was no further communication from both sides till sometime early October when he apologised again.

“On October 13, he contacted me with an anonymous number via WhatsApp with pictures, videos and threat messages, saying if I did not come back to him, he was going to release everything,” she added.

She noted that she was surprised when at 7pm that day, people called her attention to the nude video and pictures circulating on the Internet.

The Computer Science graduate said the case was reported to the police and Omatsola was arrested the following day.

“He said now that my pictures and videos were out there, no man would want to look my way again; that it was best we got married.

“After the arrest, in the presence of his dad, he confessed to releasing the pictures and video. He apologised to me, my family, his family and the public. This was recorded on October 19, 2018, and I am in possession of the video. He even accepted to pay damages,” she said.

Okpe, who noted that she regretted the relationship, said she had faced ridicule from friends and family members.

“I was wrong to have been involved in premarital s*x with a pastor. I was wrong to have allowed him persuade me to record our intimate moments. I have been fielding questions from my colleagues. I hope that this will pass soon,” she added.

When newsmen contacted the cleric, he said his former lover was out to fleece him, adding that he could not have posted the s*x video since he had his reputation to protect.

He added that a second video of him confessing to posting the s*x video was done under duress.

“I never did anything of that nature and she does not have anything to prove it (assault). How do you, a popular pastor with a church in Lekki Phase One, leak your own s*x video with your face on it? How does that work?

“That video (confessional video) was done under duress because I was picked up by the same lady and she demanded N200m (from me) for leaking the video, which I did not leak.

She has it on her phone and I have it on my phone. So, she picked me up. My dad and the lawyer agreed that I should do a (confessional) video and it was under duress.

“The police were there, the Investigating Police Officer was there; I am supposed to pay that girl N1m before the end of this month.

“This (sex) video came from an unknown telephone number. I started getting calls on Sunday morning while I was in church and somebody said my s*x video was all over the Internet. I called the blog that posted it to take it down.

“The next day, the police came to arrest me for it. I went to the station and I was detained; my lawyer came to take my bail. I was taken to the police headquarters where I was told that part of the conditions for bail was for me to make that (confessional) video. I needed to do it to come out to defend myself. You can’t defend yourself in a cell.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti, said investigation was ongoing.

Mother Of Two Commits Suicide After Her Mum Maltreats Family Member

According to new report, a 28-year-old mother of two, Funmilola Adeodu allegedly committed suicide in Ilogbo-Eremi, within the Morogbo area of Lagos State in attempt to spite her mother, Ifatunmibi Adegbenle, for allegedly maltreating her niece, Rachael Balogun.

Rachael lived together with her grannie Ifatunmibi in their neighborhood. The fight between Funmilola and the mother had invariably been concerning the method her niece was being treated.

Funmilola was of the opinion that her mother was subjecting the niece to harsh treatment but the mother believed she was only disciplining her granddaughter who is said to be a very stubborn girl. Rachael who lived with her grandmother would always run to Funmilola’s home to stay anytime her grandmother begins her action.

Ifatunmibi told newsmen that she had on several occasions cautioned her daughter against encouraging Rachael’s misconduct.

She explained that Funmilola had already taken the rat poison before coming to her place, adding that efforts to prevent her from drinking the Sniper proved abortive.

Funmilola’s father, Hassan, said the deceased also attempted to poison her own son, Joseph, but was stopped, adding that she was counselled for hours after her first suicidal attempt failed.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Lagos State police command, CSP Chike Oti, said that the police is still investigating the matter.

28-Year-Old Man, Joe Storey, Kills Girlfriend, Watches Violent Porn0graphy Shortly

A panicky lady screamed “I know he’s going to kill me” before her stalker ex-boyfriend battered her to death according to the new report.

Joe Storey, 28, dead Kerri McAuley, 32, and soiled her blood on his face before taking a ugly selfie in her home. The mum-of-two, from Norwich, suffered 19 injuries to her head and face as Storey left her to die in January 2017.

Storey was imprisoned forever and a domestic homicide review into the killing highlights the “massive” failings by those that didn't shield her. The 82-page report, distributed by the Norfolk County Community Safety Partnership, highlighted how he attacked his former partners since 2008.

Their findings also show at the time of the killing three restraining orders were in place to keep Storey from contacting his ex-girlfriends. Ms McAuley even told cops she thought Storey would kill her during an attack in July 2016 and told a friend: “I know he is going to kill me”.

In 2008, probation services carried out a risk assessment and found Storey had “the potential to inflict fatal harm upon his partner and unborn child” when he was 18.

The report also found the probation service manager who was handling his case failed to read his file and did not know about his history of domestic abuse and violence.

Ms McAuley’s mum Lesley said she was “devastated” and was left in tears after reading the report. Storey was jailed for a minimum of 24 years after a court heard he smashed her skull “like a mosaic” before taking a photo of her blood smeared across his face.
