Obasanjo: ex-wife accuses former president over occultic feast by Fgreen(m) : 10:49 pm On May 04, 2017

She's threatened to protest at the wedding venue if it's not stopped before the day.

One of ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo‘s former wives, Taiwo Obasanjo has once again protested against the forthcoming wedding of her son with the former leader. According to her, spiritual revelations have it that the nuptials is an ‘occultic feast that will lead to many deaths’.

She had attempted to stop the wedding between her son, Olujuwon and sports betting magnate Kessignton Adebutu‘s daughter, Tope in court but had the case thrown out.

In an open letter she wrote to the vicar of the Methodist Church yesterday, she promises to stage a protest outside the venue of the wedding on May 11 and 13, 2017.

‘Please I want the whole world to know that I am not mad and I am not against my son’s wedding but the whole truth will be revealed by the almighty God who sees in secret all that is hidden.

‘I have written to the Nigerian Police and the Military Police of my intention to peacefully have a protest as a citizen of Nigeria. Me and my people shall be peacefully singing, dancing and praising God,’ she said.

She also claimed that her daughter-in-law, Tope and and her mother, Rosemary Dacosta intended to use the wedding to prolong their life and renew their covenant with Satan.

Taiwo Obasanjo warned those attending the wedding that immediately after the ceremony, there would be strange diseases, multiple road accidents, plane crashes, fire incidents and strange death across the country.

On penises and butt cracks around Lagos by Fgreen(m) : 12:46 am On May 05, 2017

Contrary to what you might be tempted to assume, I’m not actually sampling them in my bed.

When Tekno gave us a peek of his ‘cassava’

I’m tired of penises and 6utt cracks.

Seriously, I have lost count of the number of penises and 6utt cracks I have seen in this Lagos. I’ve seen all kinds of butts and 6utt cracks too; from hairy ones to blackened ones.

How did I become some sort of p3n!s connoisseur? And how did I become an expert on 6utt cracks? Contrary to what you might be tempted to assume, I’m not actually sampling them in my bed.

I just go about minding my own business like every other Lagosian and bam! There’s a d!ck in my face. Just like that.

You people really ought to have some respect for your bodies and some shame for yourselves. There’s no day I pass through the streets of Lagos without seeing some man peeing by the roadside with his pee pee hanging out for all to see.

And after answering the call of nature, they sometimes see you walking in their direction, make eye contact and then shake their wiener vigorously as if trying to expel the last drops of urine.

But all the while they’re looking at you and you’re trying desperately to look anywhere else but at them. Which may be difficult because they’re standing right in the direction you’re walking.

Policemen urinating in public

I’m still haunted by one of such experiences till this very day. I had gotten off a bus at a busstop called New Garage, close to Ojota. I had spied this man peeing from when I was still far away from the spot he was.

He finished his business, waited with his d!ck hanging out and when I had gotten close enough to where he stood, he shook his p3n!s up and down several times. And he had the guts to wink at me as I finally passed by him.

I was so utterly disgusted, so irritated and I felt so embarrassed by his display that I wished I had the power to make his p3n!s wither and fall off.

Every time I see a man with his feet planted apart, zipper down and p3n!s hanging out, I want to bludgeon him over the head.

Then there are the penises I see under the bridge when exiting the Third Mainland Bridge to Olowu/Sura. Grown men who take their baths in the gardens just under the bridge, fully naked, without a care for passers-by’s eyes.

I know they’re probably homeless and they have no choice. But I’m just tired of accidentally bumping into penises with my eyes when all I’m doing is minding my own business.

As for 6utt cracks, they’re littered all over the place. Some people leave their trousers hanging so low, all they need do is stretch their arms or bend slightly and you’ll be assaulted by a full dose of yansh.

Some people wear their trousers and underwear hanging so low, their 6utt crack is bared open for all to see.

Kim Kardashian

There are those who think sagging is still in vogue. If they sit in front of you in a bus, you must keep your eyes straight ahead. If you look down, you’re going to be looking straight into a 6utt crack.

So yeah, I have seen too many penises and 6utt cracks and I am sick and tired of it all. It’s like getting unsolicited d!ck pics in real life; they come from those you’re uninterested in seeing their schlong, and they come when you’re minding your business and least expect it.

Yes, I’ve also seen enough boobs trying to escape out of their confinements and panties that are worn under next to nothing. As for those women, that is story for another day.

Perhaps the government should make a law that allows people who are ‘indecently’ dressed to be picked up and arrested. I remember something like that happening some years ago, maybe it should be revisited and this time, they can haul away p3n!s and 6utt crack showers.

Mother of seven jailed six years for human trafficking by Fgreen(m) : 1:04 am On May 05, 2017

Alexander Okere, Benin

A Benin High Court in Edo State has sentenced a 58-year-old woman to six years imprisonment for trafficking an 18-year-old girl to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

Mrs. Joy Raji, mother of seven, who hails from Ikpoba-Okha LGA of the state had in January, 2016, been arraigned before Justice Alero Edodo-Eruaga on three counts bothering on deceitful inducement, forced labour and slave dealing, contrary to the provisions of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Law, 2013, (as amended).

But Raji was said to have pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to her, before she was convicted on Wednesday.

Items such as a slave uniform passport, travel tickets and a bank teller” were said to have been tendered while three witnesses were called in by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons to prove its case.

The prosecutor had told the court that the victim was working as an artistic designer in Benin before she was trafficked to the two countries for exploitative purposes.

She was said to have been introduced to the idea of traveling to Kuwait for a better life by Raji, in collaboration with her brother, one Evans Aghahowa, who was said to be at large.

Various sums of money were said to have been collected from the victim's mother, identified as Mrs. Mary Osula, to facilitate the trip.

She was also said to have been sold for 750 Kuwaiti Dinar to a male buyer and was returned to one of her buyers when she ran to the Kuwaiti police.

The victim, in her testimony, was quoted to have said, “A certain man took me to a 20-storey building and I was locked up inside; I never came out again. I was not given food.

I ate from remnants I could find. When I complained, the man told me that he paid 750 Kuwait Dinar to purchase me.

The acting Benin Zonal Commander of NAPTIP, Mr. Nduka Nwanwenne, in a statement on Thursday, noted that the victim was later sold again to another woman in Saudi Arabia, who kept giving her work to do without food and not letting her go out of the house.

The victim was held in bondage in two countries and her life and liability was under the absolute control of her oga and madam, Nwanwenne added.

However, Justice Edodo-Eruaga found the accused guilty and sentenced her to four years imprisonment on Count One and two years imprisonment on Count Two, without an option of fine.

Police commence probe of UI Law student’s death by Fgreen(m) : 1:09 am On May 05, 2017

The Oyo State Police Command has commenced investigation into the death of Miss Deborah Effiong, a 100 Level Law student at the University of Ibadan.

The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abiodun Odude, made this known in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Ibadan.

Odude said police investigation into the incident followed the report by the university’s authority.

He gave an assurance that the outcome of the investigation would be made public as soon as it is completed.

The University of Ibadan had, on Wednesday, issued a statement through its Director of Public Communication, Mr Olatunji Oladejo, announcing the death of Effiong.

Oladejo expressed the regret of the university management over the sudden death of the student at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.

“Her sudden death, however, remains a mystery and it is in the light of this that the university management wishes to state that the cause(s) of her death are still being investigated by the appropriate authorities.

“Her parents have been duly contacted by the relevant key officers of the university.

“It is pertinent to state that by the tradition of the Queen Elizabeth II Hall where she was a resident, an event tagged “Freshers/Finalists’ Week’’ was organised by the Hall’s Executive Committee.

“The first day being Monday, May 1, 2017 featured ‘Health Day’ in the morning and ‘Movie Show’ at 7.00pm.

“Her colleagues reported that the deceased was seen at the hall cafeteria, the venue of the movie show and it was reported that her ‘normal self’ was seen at about 8.40 pm.

“Thereafter, she received a telephone call from a fellow; she left the venue of the movie show to meet the caller.

“The fellow has been identified after her death by the Campus Security Service,’’ Oladejo said.

He further explained that on getting back to the venue of the movie show, her colleagues stated that she suddenly became hyperactive and developed a strange attitude.

Oladejo added that her colleagues said Effiong danced abnormally and excessively in the cafeteria after the meeting.

“It was further revealed that she left the venue of the movie show and, thereafter, there was a bang, which her colleagues explained, she jumped from a dangerous position in the hall.

“She was later found by her colleagues in a seemingly helpless condition in the precinct of the Hall and immediately, she was rushed to the university’s health centre by her colleagues and porters on duty.

“She was later referred to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, for further medical attention where all efforts to save her life proved abortive,’’ Oladejo said.

Effiong was said to have died overnight at the tertiary health institution. (NAN)

Kate Henshaw, friends return N8m raised for sick boy to donors by Fgreen(m) : 1:24 am On May 05, 2017

amson Folarin

Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, says she and her friends have made arrangement to return the funds raised for Michael Alvez, a two-year-old boy born with an ulcerous growth in the face.

Henshaw added that she had asked Nigerians to stop paying into an account opened for the victim’s treatment, adding that the development was as a result of the request of the family that she stopped assisting the family after disagreements over Michael’s welfare.

UNCH Metro had reported that Henshaw’s attention was drawn to Michael and his mother’s condition through the social media.

The mother, Mary, had reportedly been using him to beg for alms in the Onikan area of Lagos State when some residents snapped their pictures.

Henshaw was reportedly tagged on Twitter sometime in March 2016, and she took interest in the case.

After locating them, the baby was admitted to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba, after which the actress involved a non-governmental organisation, Project Alert on Violence Against Women, before the Lagos State Government was also notified.

After a strike action by medical workers at LUTH, the baby, who was only 14 months old then, was allegedly admitted to a shelter home of Project Alert, where the grandmother stayed with him.

His mother was alleged to have fled the hospital.

After some disagreements, Michael’s aunt, Sidi, volunteered to take custody of the child, while the NGO was saddled with the responsibility of paying his medical bill from funds raised for the purpose.

PUNCH Metro learnt that shortly after the aunt took over the baby’s custody, the mother, Mary, returned and Sidi handed over the child to her.

His condition was said to have deteriorated, leading to his re-admission to LUTH.

Project Alert said it was worried by the development and wrote the Lagos State Government on November 18, 2016, asking for a shelter for Michael.

The state government, in its response in December 2016, approved a home for Michael, which was allegedly rejected by the family.

The aunt, Sidi, was said to have again asked the government to release the child to her.

A letter from the Lagos State Government, dated February 23, 2017, and directed to Sidi, approved the request.

By March 3, a lawyer representing the baby’s family, E.G. Adelemoni, wrote to the management of Project Alert, demanding a statement of the audited account of Michael’s medical fund.

Adelemoni, in the letter, said the demand was to ensure that the money was used for what it was intended, including an overseas treatment for Michael.

He threatened legal action if the request was not acceded to within seven days of its receipt.

A reaction from Project Alert’s legal officer, Benjamin Odeh, stated that Henshaw, Aramide Kasunmu (another member of the fundraising team), and members of the public were the donors to the account, hence the fund manangers were accountable only to them.

On Wednesday, Project Alert said it had agreed with Henshaw and Kasunmu to return the money to the donors.

The Chief Executive Officer of Project Alert, Mrs. Josephine Effah-Chukuwma, said, “The last one year of our intervention to help the baby has been very emotional and frustrating. The major frustration has been from Baby Michael’s family, who have been uncooperative, greedy and antagonising.

“In November 2016, Sidi briefed a lawyer to write us requesting information on the account and money raised. We had a meeting with the lawyer and at the end, he realised his client had wrongly briefed him.

“In February 2017, at a meeting called by the social welfare department at the state secretariat, Alausa, she refused to allow the government take custody of the child. She also said she did not want any further medical assistance. She requested that the child be discharged from the hospital to her and the grandma. Michael was subsequently released.

“However, a week later, she got yet another lawyer, Adelemoni, to write us about the funds. The question is: Why is the family more interested in the money than the health of the boy? Why would Sidi, on behalf of the family, tell the government and the rescuers to back off, and then turn around to enquire about the money through her lawyers?

“The rescuers have with heavy hearts – considering that a sick child is involved – decided to refund the balance of the money raised to all those who were kind enough to donate to the fund since the family has rejected our assistance.

“As an organisation, Project Alert believes in transparency and accountability. In the last one year, we raised a total sum of N9.8m to help Michael, and spent N1.8m. The account has been duly audited by an audit firm– Bamisile and Co. Since the family has asked us to withdraw, we believe it is right that we inform the public and refund the money to those who donated it.”

Henshaw, in her contribution, claimed that she had received threat messages and curses on her children over the case. She added that she regretted supporting the cause.

“The baby is now in the care of the family and the government,” she added.

When our correspondent contacted Sidi’s lawyer, Adelemoni, he said he was forced to issue the threat to sue the group after Project Alert allegedly backed out of Michael’s treatment.

He said Sidi alleged that the NGO insisted on getting Michael to a motherless baby’s home, which did not go down well with the family.

A letter he addressed to the Lagos State Attorney General, dated February 21, 2017, stated that the family also felt betrayed by Project Alert after some government officials attempted to withdraw Michael from LUTH for onward transfer to a motherless baby’s home

He noted in the letter that the family was disappointed that the two-year-old was not flown out for treatment as promised by the group.

He said, “We are not demanding the money from them. We only asked them to give an account and once account is given, they can send the medical bill directly to the hospital in India where the boy will be taken to.

“Also, there are discrepancies in the money being declared by the NGO. The money was taken on behalf of Michael, so nobody has the right to sit on it. And yes, the mother is not of sound mind. Our client has been the one taking care of her (Mary’s) two children. Before the NGO took over, she has been contributing to the medical care of the baby.”

Project Alert, however, denied that it promised to fly the child abroad for treatment.

Corps member returning from nightclub killed in Abuja by Fgreen(m) : 1:37 am On May 05, 2017

feez Hanafi

The life of a 25-year-old corps member, Charity Thilza, has been brought to an abrupt end three days to the completion of her National Youth Service Corps programme in Abuja.

The Borno State indigene was killed by some robbers along Wuse 2 Road while she was returning home from a nightclub in Carribean, Wuse 2, around 3am on Monday.

The ‘passing-out parade,’ which marked the completion of her one-year programme, would hold on Thursday (today). She studied Linguistics and English at the University of Maiduguri.

PUNCH Metro learnt that Thilza and four friends, identified simply as Lola, Bisi, Pooja (an Indian) and a man had attended a show at the club, where a hip hop artiste, Chibuzor Azubuike, popularly called Phyno, performed on Sunday.

They were said to be returning home from the party in a car the following day when the robbers gave them a chase.

The assailants reportedly shot at the car repeatedly and some of the bullets pierced through the windscreen and hit Thilza, who was sitting at the back. One of the friends, Lola, was said to have also sustained gunshot injuries.

Our correspondent learnt that the robbers retreated when they noticed that the driver of the car was heading towards a police station.

Thilza’s close friend, Thlama Bukar, said she was rushed to a hospital, but was rejected. She said she died on the way to another hospital that she was referred to.

Bukar, who spoke with PUNCH Metro on the telephone, said she was together with Thilza until Friday, when she (Bukar) returned to Maiduguri, Borno State, where she lives.

She said, “Phyno performed at the Carribean (the club) on Sunday. They were coming back home around 3am on Monday when they noticed that a car was trailing them. They took a detour, but the car continued following them. The driver of their car started speeding and the robbers opened fire on the car. Unfortunately, some of the bullets hit Thilza from the back of the car.

“Five persons went for the party. One of them is a man, but I don’t know his name. I learnt Lola was also hit by the bullets and has been admitted to a hospital. The incident was reported to the police.

“Thilza lived in Zone 6, Wuse 2, and served at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Abuja. She clocked 25 years in January. Her corpse will be brought to Maiduguri on Thursday (today). Her father is late. Presently, her mother is not talking; she is very distraught. She was the first child of the family. She has four young siblings.”

Bukar said Thilza had planned to join the NSCDC after the service, adding that her death was a big loss to the family.

She said, “She was a kind and simple person. I left her and other friends in Abuja on Friday. They accompanied me to the airport when I was returning to Maiduguri. She told me she wanted to join the NSCDC.”

Friends of the deceased on Facebook have also expressed shock over her death, extending their condolences to her family.

One Monsurat Abdulrasaq wrote, “Oh, Charity! Our souls are full of pains on hearing of your unfair demise. This got to me like a swift wind. May God comfort your entire family at this tough time. May God bring you comfort. Amen.”

A colleague, Jabal Gadzama, wrote on Thilza’s timeline that they met a few days ago.

“Please, can someone explain what happened to me? I was with her last week during the biometric for our NYSC final clearance. Please, just tell me it is not true,” she said.

The spokesperson for the NYSC, Federal Capital Territory, Mrs. Abosede Aderibigbe, said the corps was making efforts to ensure the release of the corpse for burial.

She said, “The victim was our member with code number, FCT/15a/5295. She was supposed to pass out on Thursday (today). We learnt she and her friends went clubbing.

“When they were coming back around 3am in a flashy car, armed robbers trailed them. When they could not get them, they shot at the car and the bullets hit her.

“They tried rushing her to the National Hospital, Abuja, but she died on the way. The family members are in Abuja with the NYSC coordinator. The corpse is with the police. Possibly, it will be released for burial tomorrow (Thursday).”

The police spokesperson, FCT Command, ASP Anjuguri Mensah, said he was on a course and promised to send the number of his deputy to our correspondent for comments on the incident. He had, however, yet to send the number as of press time.

Nigeria: Cheapest, safest place for holidaying, says NTDC D-G by Fgreen(m) : 3:05 am On May 05, 2017

Lagos – Mr Folorunsho Folarin-Coker, the Director-General, Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC), has advised Nigerians to spend their holidays within the country instead of travelling abroad.

Folarin-Coker told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that Nigeria is endowed with safe natural attractions and sites for both local and foreign tourists to recreate.

According to him, Nigeria is the cheapest place where tourists and visitors can also learn from diversified cultural values and traditions of people. “ As the American dollar exchanges for N400, we are better off spending our currency in the country as that will make holidaying cheaper and affordable.

“Costs of accommodation, transportation, feedings and drinks are cheaper in the country compared to dollars that they will spend while outside the country. “Also, we will be boosting our economy and strengthening our currency by reducing capital flight from the country,’’ he said.

He advised Nigerians to explore their domestic tourism potential by patronizing made-in-Nigeria products. Folarin-Coker also said that tourism stakeholders should also package their products to make them attractive to would-be tourists.

Tour operators should venture into religious tourism as it is a fast-growing tourism destination many Nigerians were interested in at present, he said. Folarin-Coker also solicited partnership between the public and private sectors to enhance the development and promotion of tourism.

He said the synergy between both sectors would boost tourism agenda of the country. Folarin-Coker said that NTDC would continue to collaborate with NANTA, NATOP and other tourism organisations to propel the growth of tourism in the country.
