Cult Leader Kills Man Over N20, 000 Gift

The Authorities in Lagos have arrested a suspected leader of the Eiye Confraternity, Lukuman Agboola, from the Bariga Region of the state, for allegedly Murdering a resident, Adegoke Philip.

Agboola, aka Baggo, reportedly murdered the victim following an altercation over N20,000 that was given to them by a politician in the region.

It was learnt that as Agboola wanted to accumulate the gift from the politician, one of his gang members, identified simply as Ahmed, grabbed it and ran away.

Agboola was allegedly angered by Ahmed's behaviour as scuffle ensued between Agboola and Philip, after the latter reprimanded him.

After being split, Agboola supposedly led his gang members to attack the victim the following day and stabbed him to death.

Sometime in April 2018, a few months after the alleged murder, the defendant allegedly went into the New Gararage area, Bariga, also threatened people with a gun.

The state Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, while parading suspected cult members and armed robbers on Monday in the command headquarters in Ikeja, stated that 35-year-old Agboola was detained on May 1, 2018.
