FIFA sanctions awaits Manchester United‘s number one goalkeeper, Andre Onana, if the Cameroon international declines to represent Cameroon in the African Cup of Nations, punishments may also await him in the English Premier League.

It is anticipated that Andre Onana will be called up by the Indomitable Lions for the competition that takes place from January 13 to February 11, 2024.

The former Inter Milan goalkeeper may miss six English Premier League games and FA Cup games for his team if Cameroon has a successful tournament.

Onana, though, is anxious that his second, Turkey international, Altay Bayindir may occupy the number one position for keeps while away for the AFCON tournament in the first quarter of 2024.

However, Onana might not be allowed to play for Manchester United during the AFCON if Cameroon chooses him for their roster.

So FIFA sanctions is calling if he defaults.
