David Luiz believes only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo can 'replace' Eden Hazard at Chelsea, as the Belgian is set to join Real Madrid. The Brazilian, however, feels Callum Hudson-Odoi can be the 'next Hazard' at Chelsea, even though it will take some time before he matures into a finished article.
Luiz spoke after their 4-1 victory against Arsenal in Baku in the Europa League on Wednesday night, the same night Hazard revealed that he was ready for a new challenge.

“That’s either Messi or Ronaldo [who can replace Hazard],” Luiz told reporters at Baku Olympic Stadium when asked on who can replace Hazard at Chelsea. “Callum [Hudson-Odoi] is great. Callum has known this club since he was young and he has the talents to one day try to be like Eden. It didn’t start so well because of the injury but it is time for him to improve in other sides [of his game].”

Odoi is currently recuperating from an injury he suffered towards the end of the season, which saw him miss a couple of games. He has however had a good season with the senior team and has become a fan favourite at the Bridge. His pace and skills on the wing have been likened to a young Hazard, which have seen him attract interest from top European clubs including Bayern Munich, who saw four separate bids for the young English winger rejected in January.
