David Adeleke (popularly known as Davido), the Afrobeat star, revealed that at 17 years old, he had his first endorsement contract worth millions of Naira.

This was stated by the 'Timeless" hitmaker in a recent interview when he spoke about his career progress over the years.

Davido claims that MTN Telecommunications offered him an endorsement deal worth N20 million when he was a teenager.

He said that N20m at the time was a huge sum of money, as he only had two songs on the radio. He said that his experience made him realize the vast financial potential of the music industry.

Following the offer, the 30-year-old singer finally developed the confidence to pitch his music career to his dad, who bought into his vision and built a studio for him.
