A suit to disqualify Siminalaye fubara, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), governorship candidate, was dismissed by the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt.

Chief Morgan West, an aspirant to the PDP was the one who filed the lawsuit. Chief Morgan West, an aspirant to the PDP, had filed the lawsuit claiming that Fubara wasn't a member of his party and didn't have a valid PDP card.

Justice Adamu T. Mohammed ruled in the case on Friday, November 4th. The lawsuit was dismissed on grounds of incompetence or lack of jurisdiction.
