Two female corps members who were serving in the Zomo community of Mikang Local Government Area in Plateau State have been abducted.

After the corps members had gone to a nearby pharmacy to purchase drugs, the incident took place on Wednesday, October 5. During the abduction, the owner of the shop allegedly fled.

Daily Trust reported that a family source revealed that kidnappers had contacted victims' families, asking for N25 million ransom.

According to the source, the families have been working with management at the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), in order to secure the release of the girls.
