Reports state that bandits invaded Ungwan Keke, New Millenium settlement, Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna State and abducted many residents.

One source said that 30 people were taken by the hoodlums during the raid on Monday night.

This attack comes just three weeks after bandits attacked Sabon Gero Community in the new Millenium City, the same LGA. The raid killed a Commander of the Civilian Joint Task Force and a resident.

16 other people were also taken hostage, including a doctor.

While neither the state government nor the police command confirmed the incident on Monday night, a source claimed that the police had visited and inspected the scene.

“As we speak, the police had just gone there (Keke) where the attack happened. The attackers came around 9:00 pm during a downpour. Many were abducted,” the source added.
