Senator Shehu Sani, a Nigerian senator representing Kaduna State in the National Assembly, has taken to his official Facebook platform to speak his mind on the issue of who should be the chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

In his post, the senator made it clear that Atiku Abubakar remains the presidential candidate of the political party, and the chairman of the political party who is the driver of the vehicle should be someone the flag bearer is comfortable with.


He further noted that if the election is won or lost, the presidential candidate is the one that would carry the trophy of the cross, and although aggrieved members of the political party should be carried along with respect and dignity they deserve, anyone who works against his or her party is voluntarily walking to the gallows.

His post sparked mixed reactions among many Nigerians as most of his followers took to the comments section of his post to give reasons why they disagree with his opinion, while a host of others also gave their reasons why they support his claims.
