It’s not news that Iran’s military is nothing compared to US when it comes to defence or war machines, considering the whooping 600$ billion Us spent on just defence last year and the 10 billion$ Iran spends on their military. But nevertheless this small country is still one of the most dangerous threat on US list.

Iran is strong-willed and will do anything it cost to achieve their goals, they also process strong cyber-attack capabilities and finds every means to intercepts US technology and intelligence to use against them.

USA was in shock when Iran took down one of their topmost stealth drone, with the latest technology, this drone cost 10$ billion.

Also known as The RQ-4, it provides a broad overview and systematic surveillance using high-resolution (SAR) and long-range electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensors with long loiter times over target areas. It can survey as much as 40,000 square miles (100,000 km2) of terrain a day, that’s the size of north Korea or Iceland at once.

Why USA is fearful?

This is not the first drone they have taken down, Several years ago, in 2011, it demonstrated its evolving capabilities at drone interception when it captured a RQ-170 Sentinel stealth drone.

Iran supposedly jammed the communication links of the RQ-170 Sentinel stealth drone, taking control of the drone inside Iranian territory.

Which they later made a copy of by taking its technology and making their own version.

It was after this US made its bigger cousin global hawk RQ-4, with greater technology and higher speed and height rate. shockingly Iran still took down US biggest surveillance drone, intercepted it’s stealth (invisibility) then shot it down with a Russian technology aircraft missile ground launcher.

The US reaper killer drone that took down and killed Iran Gen Qassem wasn’t detected because it’s wasnt close to Iran radar territory.

Iran could use this drone for attacks
Officials say American troops and US defence systems are now on higher alert. After US intelligence showed Iran moving military equipment including ballistic missiles vehicles and drones in the last few days.

Iran could be possibly ordering drone attacks soon. As intelligence gather reports of more drones in development, with USA technology, guided missile launchers and stealth capabilities. The popular being the Sahed-129 with an altitude of 24,000 feet and with an endurance of 24hours ON in air.

It can carry as many as 8 anti-tank missiles which are laser guided to hit its target, what that means is that it provides a higher threat to US base in the middle east in Iraq. These drones have been seen to fly around Iraq, Kuwait and Sudan.

Especially with the alliances Iran has formed with neighbouring states like Yemen, Syria and Lebanon which host the shiit and Hezbollah’s armies. That will be possible threats of lots of attack coming from different angles against the US base even before cab utilise means of defence.

There is also the risk of Iran obtaining counter-drone technology through China who is said to pursue a “no-questions-asked” policy regarding the export of drones to the Middle East.

Efforts should now focus on preventing Iran from enhancing these capabilities by countering its attempts to obtain Western counter-drone technology.
