David Oladokun (27-year-old homeless) was arrested for allegedly defiling a toddler in Ibadan State, Oyo State.

According to the investigation, the incident took place on Tuesday, July 12 at Olunde and Ajiyo Ajoro areas along Olomi Ayedun road.

Nigerian Tribune reports that the girl was leaving her family friend's home and was playing outside her shop when her suspect lured her. The suspect then took her to an unfinished building located opposite the hotel in Olunde Ajiyo Ajoro.

According to reports, the suspect had placed a gag on her mouth so her screams wouldn't attract attention from others in the vicinity and then began to penetrate her.

According to reports, the guardian and other neighbors who were looking for the girl noticed that the suspect was trying to flee.

The searchers stopped him and held onto him. After that, he led them to an unfinished building, where they found the girl in a state of shock.

He was immediately attacked by a crowd who stripped him naked and threatened to lynch him. However, Olusegun Idowu, the Commandant of the Oluyole Security Surveillance Team, saved him.

The OSST Commandant, who spoke with the Nigerian Tribune, said that preliminary findings revealed that the suspect, who said he learned carpentry, was homeless and used to sleep in a friend’s residence or wherever he could lay his head on. He was also said to be a hemp smoker.

He was taken to Sanyo Police Station and handed over to police officers for further investigation.

Nigerian Tribune learned that the toddler, who was bleeding in her private part, was taken to a private hospital by the police for prompt medical examination.

During interrogation, the suspect, who claimed to hail from Akure in Ondo State, was said to have told senior police officers at the station that he acted through the influence of unforeseen forces.

It was learned he would be transferred from Sanyo Division to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Iyaganku, Ibadan, for further investigation.

Spokesman of the State Police Command, SP Adewale Osifeso, who confirmed the incident said that investigation had been commenced on the matter.
