A 38-year-old man, Adesile Mayowa has been sentenced by an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court, to three months imprisonment for stealing packs of bottled water.

The chief magistrate, Mrs. Titilayo Ola-Olorun, sentenced the convict who pleaded guilty to the offense. She, however, gave the convict an option of an N10,000 fine.

The police prosecutor, Insp Johnson Okunade, told the court that the convict went to the shop of one Alhaji Babalola Isiaka and stole six-packs of bottled water.

The magistrate ordered the convict to be remanded in custody until he pays the fine.
