American rapper and model, Chynna Rogers, who performed with ASAP Rocky's hip-hop collective ASAP Mob, has passed away suddenly at the age of 25, her manager has confirmed.

“I can regrettably confirm Chynna passed away,” her manager John Miller told Billboard’s Stereogum via email. He added that her family said, “Chynna was deeply loved and will be sorely missed”.

A statement from her management team at True Panther reads: "Rest In Peace Chynna. Heartbroken. All the love to those she left behind. Goodbye angel."

The cause of death has yet to be revealed.

In the past, Rogers battled with opioid addiction, but there is no indication if it had anything to do with her death.

Chynna Rogers who was born in Philadelphia, started her career as a model, after signing with Ford Models when she was just 14.

Soon after, she became friends with A$AP Mob founder A$AP Yams and released her first single Selfie in 2014 and Glen Coco in 2014 through A$AP Ant and DJ Nick's Marino Gang record label, which became viral hits on YouTube.

It was the late Yams who gave Rogers the confidence to pursue a career in music and in 2015, she released EP's entitled I'm Not Here in 2015, followed by Ninety in 2016.

Also in 2017, Rogers released her EP, Music 2 Die 2. Her last release, 'in case I die first', dropped in January.

A$AP Mob led tributes to the young artist on Twitter. He wrote: “REST EASY CHYNNA. WE GON MISS U SIS,” reads a message from the hip-hop collective’s social accounts.

Lil Yachty paid a fan $500 (₦183,500) to drink their own urine on Instagram Live.

A clip of the stunt was posted on Sunday (April 5) where the fan was seen filling his glass with pee from the toilet instead of producing it on the spot.

Lil Yachty excited by what was happening said, “I got 500 for that. Get a big scoop of that bitch.”

Yachty and his two friends watch astounded as the fan raises the cup to his lips, before taking a big swig then stopping. Lil Boat eggs him on, saying, “Keep going, keep going, keep going. Hit it. You got it, keep going.”

After several breaks between gulps, the cash-hungry fan manages to swallow the remaining contents and Yachty pays him.

Throughout the coronavirus quarantine, Yachty has been getting fans to perform ridiculous Instagram Live stunts for a $200 CashApp donation. So far, he has paid a fan to shave off his eyebrows and gotten others to eat deodorant and cat food.

He also attempted to sell designer toilet paper for $500 a pack as the coronavirus pandemic started to sweep the globe.

Tyler Perry paid the grocery bills for all shoppers during the designated “senior hour” at multiple Kroger supermarket stores in Louisiana and Georgia on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.

Felix Turner, the Atlanta spokesman for Kroger, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Perry paid for groceries at 44 stores in Atlanta and 29 in his hometown of New Orleans.

“Senior and higher-risk Kroger shoppers in metro Atlanta did receive a nice surprise at the register this morning when they learned Tyler Perry had paid their grocery tab in full,” Turner told the newspaper. “We would like to join our customers in thanking Mr. Perry for his kindness and generosity during this unprecedented pandemic.”

The shoppers were handed slips of paper with the words “Random Act of Kindness” as they entered the store and were later told at check-out their groceries were paid for.

Perry asked not to be named and said he should only be known as Atlanta Angel.

The Ogun state police command have arrested 43 -year- old man, Joshua Abraham, for stealing the placenta of a newly born baby boy.

In a statement made available to newsmen, the spokesperson of the state command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspect was arrested following a report made by one Raliha Zakara, the grandmother of the baby whose placenta was stolen, at Ibafo Police Station.

Mrs. Zakara visited the Ibafo police station where she reported that the suspect who is her neighbor had gone to the hospital where the baby was delivered, and claimed to be the father.

He then asked for the placenta of the baby from the nurse on duty, on the pretext that he was going to bury it, and it was given to him as the nurse thought he was baby's father.

The suspect, who is a neighbour to Raliha, came to the hospital, where Raliha’s daughter was delivered of the baby, and pretended to be the father of the newborn. He demanded the placenta from the nurse on duty and it was given to him.

“On getting the placenta, he took it away on the pretext that he was going to bury it. But when the grandmother got to the hospital and was informed that the suspect had taken away the placenta, she quickly confronted him, but he told the grandmother that he had buried the placenta.

When the grandmother insisted that she should be taken to where he buried it, it was discovered that he had hidden the placenta but buried a dead rat.”

Upon the report at the police station, the DPO Ibafo division SP Abiodun Ayinde detailed his detectives to the scene where the suspect was arrested.

“It was discovered that the suspect had once been arrested for defrauding a police officer and a pastor of huge sums of money under the pretext of procuring Canadian visas for them and the case is being prosecuted in court. He took detectives to where he hid the placenta and it was recovered.” the statement read

The state Commissioner of police, CP Kenneth Ebrimson has directed that a thorough investigation should be carried out and that the suspect should be charged to court as soon as possible.

Former Nollywood Actor and now political office holder, Desmond Elliot has taken to the Internet through Channels TV to share his dissatisfaction about the criticism he has received from Nigerians over COVID-19 support.
Nigerians some weeks ago criticized the house of the representative member of Surulere local government for donating hand washing buckets in the fight against COVID-19.
He stated in the interview that his team, contrary to criticism, have shared bags of Garri and Rice.

Ex Nollywood Actor, Desmond Elliot has poured out his mind in response to criticisms coming from Nigerians and Lagosians over his COVID-19 support for the community he represents at the house of assembly.



The truth of the matter is that, some weeks ago, Desmond Elliot came under attack from people in his constituency and Nigerians who profess to be his fans after the Surulere man stationed some buckets of water at strategic locations for hand washing in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.



Desmond explained further that he and his team have distributed thousands of sanitizers, bags of Garri, Bags of Rice and Packs of Noodles among many others for the masses.

He said he is so disappointed that these things weren’t mentioned in the media but the bucket news went viral. He advised people who criticize to always try to do better and be more constructive.

Tory Lanez hosted an Instagram Live video where multiple women twerked for his viewers. The live twerk session pulled a lot of viewers.

Two of those who stayed up to view Tory Lanez's live video are actors, IK Ogbonna and Juliet Ibrahim.

However, they didn't stop at viewing; they also left comments that angered Nigerians and they took to Twitter to call both of them out for their actions while viewing Quarantine Radio.



On his part, IK Ogbonna was called out for leaving emojis after emojis of Nigerian flags. Nigerians accused him of seeking for notice with it and some said the flag emojis were blocking them from seeing the 6utt of the women who were twerking.



As for Juliet Ibrahim, she was dragged for disrespecting the whole of Africa with her comments calling Africans beggars.

Nollywood Actor, Etim Effiong took to Instagram to share his excitement over news of his father, ex Lt. Col. Moses Effiong receiving a presidential pardon after 34 years.

The actor revealed that his father was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for concealment of treason in the Vatsa Coup against the IBB government in 1986. He was released in 1993, but his rank and entitlements were not restored.

Etim however, couldn't hold back his joy after his father was granted a Presidential pardon by the Buhari-led administration after 34 years.

There were dozens of artists who considered themselves to be close friends of Juice WRLD who came forward following his death to share their grief.

Grade A Productions music executive Lil Bibby saw himself as a mentor to the rising rapper and on Thursday (April 9), he shared a brief video of himself with Juice WRLD.

The United States of America threatened on Thursday, April 9, to cut off Beijing-controlled China Telecom from serving the US market because of legal and security risks, the Justice Department announced.

A recommendation by the government’s top departments, including Defense, State and Homeland Security, said that the Federal Communications Commission should “revoke and terminate” all authorizations for the Chinese giant’s US subsidiary, China Telecom (Americas), to provide international telecommunications services to and from the United States.

"The Executive Branch agencies identified substantial and unacceptable national security and law enforcement risks associated with China Telecom’s operations, which render the FCC authorizations inconsistent with the public interest," the Justice Department said in a statement.

If approved, the move could mean that China Telecom’s hundreds of millions of phone and internet customers — it is China’s second largest mobile phone operator — could lose connectivity with or through the United States.

The agencies making the recommendation — which also included the Justice Department, the Commerce Department, and the US Trade Representative — said China Telecom is vulnerable to "exploitation, influence and control" by the Chinese government.

The agencies also made the recommendation based on "the nature of China Telecom’s US operations," which they said allow Chinese government actors "to engage in malicious cyber activity enabling economic espionage and disruption and misrouting of US communications."

The recommendation has to be decided upon by the FCC, but will almost certainly involve the White House, where it could be weighed amid ongoing trade negotiations with Beijing.

It came just five days after President Donald Trump’s administration formed an interdepartmental body to formally review national security concerns related to foreign telecommunications companies involved in the United States.

In September 2019 two senators, Democrat Chuck Schumer and Republican Tom Cotton, asked the FCC to consider banning China Telecom and another company, China Unicom, from the US market over national security concerns.

The statement on Thursday, April 9, did not explain specifically what China Telecom had done to spark the recommendation that it be ousted from US telecommunications services.

It said the company has inaccurately reported to US authorities where it stores its US records and how it manages cybersecurity.

US national security officials have displayed increasing wariness of Chinese telecommunications firms and technology.

Washington has banned Huawei, the world’s largest provider of telecoms equipment and a leader in the new 5G technology, from supplying US government systems and has strongly discouraged the use of its equipment by the US private sector. US intelligence believes Huawei equipment could be compromised by Chinese intelligence, and Washington has pressured allies to find other providers as well, AFP reports.
