Happy Triggered Policemen Who Killed 3 Persons In Abia Remanded

An Umuahia Chief Magistrate Court presided by Chief John Ukpai, on Thursday, remanded Inspector Nwitoka Nwinee, Sergeants Emeto Godwin and Chigozie Onina in prison for unlawfully killing Joseph Oduluso, Odichi Sampson and Obinna Innocent at Ntigha Okpuala in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of Abia State.

Recall that the suspects (Policemen) on 5th of March, 2018 allegedly murdered the deceased persons at Ntigha Okpuala.

Chief magistrate Ukpai declined jurisdiction to listen to it and transferred the case file to the Attorney General of this state for necessary action.

Meanwhile, the human rights and constitutional attorney, Dr Anthony Agbazuere who is also a counsel to the complainants, said he had petitioned the Inspector General of Police within the gruesome murder of the deceased men and the authorities boss directed the Abia state commissioner to investigate the case.

According to him,"Three policemen recklessly on the 5th of March, this year moved into a village named Ntigha at Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area, used the government rifle, AK 47 that they had been given and killed three young-men.

“The chiefs and village heads ran to me as a human rights lawyer. I confirmed it to be true, so I had to go to the Inspector General of Police in Abuja and reported and he swiftly directed the commissioner of police in Abia to take action.

“I want to commend the Inspector General of Police and the Abia State commissioner of police for not being partial because the people were police officers. If things would be done this way by every sector in Nigeria, I think it will be better,” Dr. Agbazuere said.
