CHECK OUT THE 11 DIFFERENCES BETWEEN IJMB PROGRAM AND JAMB AND WHY SHOULD YOU[b][/b] CONSIDER IJMB PROGRAM.

With respect to IJMB program, many students have confused IJMB for JAMB thinking they're all the same. No! they're not the same. Therefore, below are the 11 differences between IJMB program and JAMB.

1. While IJMB students are Admitted into 200L to any University of their choice, JAMB students are Admitted into 100L.

2. IJMB program requires students to write 3 subjects throughout the period of 9 month of their stay in the program. For example, if you want to study Law in the University, you will have to do: Government, literature, and CRS or IRS in IJMB program. On the other hand, JAMB requires you to do 4 subjects including Maths and English which are very compulsory.

3. IJMB Program has 2 semesters within the period of 9-10 months, JAMB is not by Semester.

4. Some Universities for example, Ahmadu Bello University doesn't require IJMB students to write postutme, but JAMB requires students to sit for Postutme.

5. Your IJMB result certificate doesn't expire just like your O'level result. For example, if one decide not to further his/her education at that point in time, one can still use the IJMB result even after years of doing the program, one can still go back to school with it into 200L. But JAMB, if one didn't meet up the cut-off mark or didn't gain admission with that result for that year, the result becomes useless. Therefore, the person have to redo the JAMB again thereby spending more money. ( Most students have turned to JAMB customers writing JAMB for more than 2 times. That won't be your portion!!!).

6. IJMB Students have a higher chance of gaining Admission to the University than the JAMB students. Recall that most students would want to gain admission through JAMB where more than 1.8 million apply for it yearly. But with IJMB program, only close to 70,000 students nationwide apply to the University with a higher chance of gaining Admission because is less competitive unlike Jamb.

8. Some Universities give preferential treatment to IJMB students than JAMB students as a result of the level of knowledge they acquired from IJMB program.

9. In IJMB program, most 100L, some part of 200L and little of 300L topics will be taught during the period of the IJMB program thereby equipping such students to be ahead of their counterparts in the University. For example, most of the lectures I have received so far in here in the University of Ilorin what has been taught to me during my IJMB days. It becomes so easier for me to comprehend during the lecturing period.

10. According to statistics, it has been observed that; Most IJMB Students that have graduated in various Universities across the country are regarded as one of the most brilliant and intelligent Students with good grades as a result of the training they received during their IJMB days. I guess you want to be one of them right ?

11. Did you know that you can use your IJMB result certificate to study outside the Country? But is under close observation and there are conditions attached to it. Ok, for example, a question was thrown to the general coordinator of IJMB nationwide during a conference meeting in 2014 at Offa in Kwara State. He was asked by an IJMB student, and the question goes thus; "Can an IJMB student apply to another Universities outside Nigeria?

He replied by saying: " Yes, but it depends on the kind of University you're applying for. He went further by telling us about a particular student that got admission in one of the Universities in U.S.A with his IJMB result certificate. The University in U.S.A called the IJMB headquarter in Zaria, Kaduna State to confirm the authenticity of the guy's IJMB result certificate if he truly did IJMB program or not. At the end, the guy was later admitted to that very University. This simply denotes that is very much possible to gain admission to other Universities outside the country with your IJMB result. But, can you use your JAMB Result to gain admission outside the country apart from Nigeria Universities?

Therefore, if you have any reason to be skeptical to know the differences between IJMB and JAMB and why you shouldn't apply for IJMB program when you know you have the opportunity to do so, know that you have yourself to blame. The Ball is in your court. Don't rely on JAMB alone. JAMB is not the only option and alternative to gain admission to the University.
