Police Arrests Akinyemi Edgar Koja Who Strangled His Wife, Ajoke To Death

A Lagos bricklayer, Akinyemi Edgar Koja who sent his wife, Ajoke to early grave while strangling her to death has been arrested by men of Nigerian Police Force

He was detained around Lagos Island, where he took refuge since the incident happened.

During interrogation, Koja said he strangled his wife to death from jealously, following what he described as his late wife's adulterous acts.

Koja, after killing his 28-year-old spouse who had been a graduate, dumped her corpse within a well within his area.

In an effort to detain the threatening husband, the Lagos State Police Command declared him wanted.

Report had it Ajoke's murder couldn't have been unconnected with her intention to travel out of the nation.

But the suspect alleged during interrogation at the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department, SCIID that his late spouse was having an extra marital affair.

According to him, “I strangled her at night while she was sleeping. She was sleeping around with other men because she felt I am a poor man and she did not hide it.

“That fateful night, I suffocated her with pillows. When I discovered she was dead, I dumped the body inside a well close to our apartment.

“I ran away to make it look like I was not around when the incident happened.”
