Veteran Nollywood actresses, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and Omoni Oboli took a trip to India for the 2017 African Development Bank Annual Meeting.

In the meeting,Omotola spoke on how Nollywood can collaborate with both Bollywood and Hollywood to educate the younger generation about agriculture,without associating it with poverty.



Omotola Jalade Ekeinde is known for her outstanding humanitarian efforts.The ace Nollywood actress is among the pioneers of film era of Nigerian cinema, and equally became the most watched actress in Africa. In 2013,Omotola was honoured in Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world alongside Michelle Obama, Beyoncé and Kate Middleton. Since her Nollywood film debut in 1995, the leading actress has appeared in 300 films, selling millions of video copies. After receiving numerous high-profile awards, launching a music career, and amassing an enviable fan base, the press has revered the Screen Nation "Best Actress" as the "African Magic". She is the first African celebrity to receive over 1 million likes on her Facebook page.She currently has a total of 3 million followers on Facebook. In 2014, she was honoured by the Nigerian government as a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic, MFR for her contributions to Nigerian cinema.

Omoni Oboli is Equally a scriptwriter, director and producer and a trained digital filmmaker at the New York Film Academy. She is also a writer, with popular screenplays to her credit, including Fatal Imagination, Being Mrs Elliott, The First Lady, and Wives on Strike. In 2010,Omoni won the award for Best Actress Narrative Feature at the Los Angeles Movie Awards, and the award for Best Actress at the Harlem International Film Festival.
