Dust mite allergy is only an allergic reaction to a very small bugs which are most frequently discovered to be residing in dust. These dust mites can be found even in our ordinary household dust. Dust mite allergy is also known only as dust allergy. Dust mite allergy symptoms may include mild to moderate sneezing and a runny nose. At times, individuals with this allergy may also experience specific symptoms of asthma; couple these symptoms may include wheezing and experiencing difficulty in breathing.



Dust mites are invisible to the naked eye and could only be observed under a microscope. The diet of dust mites mostly is composed of the dead skin which people shed on a regular basis. Dust mites prevail longer in hot and humid environments. In common homes, dust mites are usually present in furniture, rugs, beds etc..

Nasal irritations symptoms like sneezes, runny nose, watery eyes, itchy eyes, congestion, itchy nose and throat, mild cough and wheezing, sinusitis aches and related facial aches etc..

From time to time, the symptoms might also result in asthma that could have symptoms like breathing difficulty, chest pain while still breathing, deep wheezing, deep coughing, snoring and difficulty in breathing while sleeping.

Sometimes allergies are hereditary. If there is a family history of dust allergy, there is a greater chance of you developing it.

Dust Mite Allergy Treatment
The ideal remedy for dust mite allergy is to avoid contact with dust mites/dust as far as you can. Control the dust on your homes and limit your exposure to dust when out of the home. If appropriate measures are taken to minimize dust exposure, the odds of developing/increasing dust allergy is minimal.

In the event of a serious response, the allergy symptoms may be treated by using drugs like antihistamines to alleviate the dust allergy symptoms like coughing and runny noses.

Nasal sprays may be used to ease itchy and dry noses and may control coughing up to a extent. Nasal sprays comprise corticosteroids that also help decrease inflammation and redness.
