Beverly Naya, a British-born Nigerian film actress, has revealed that she came close to abandoning her acting career due to negative portrayals of her on various blogs.

She recounted how one particular blog published false allegations against her, which severely impacted her self-esteem and made her question the value of continuing in the industry.

Speaking in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Naya expressed frustration at the constant stream of unfavorable coverage directed towards her on the blog.

The 34-year-old actress, who had previously experienced bullying, felt personally attacked by the repeated criticism aimed at her on the site, leaving her wondering why she was consistently singled out in such a manner.

Beverly Naya stated in part: “It really got to me and it damaged my self-esteem and it made me doubt myself like I really don’t feel like I want to continue in this industry, I wanted to quit on several occasions”
