The fast-rising Nigerian artist, Asake, has recounted an incident where his mentor, Olamide, advised him to part ways with his girlfriend upon achieving stardom.

He shared that upon receiving his significant earnings from music, he excitedly informed his girlfriend about it and even disclosed the exact amount he earned.

Subsequently, he gifted her with N2 million. However, to his disbelief, she rejected the gift, deeming it inadequate compared to his earnings.

This reaction left him perplexed, considering her modest background. Seeking counsel, Asake confided in Olamide, who suggested he end the relationship and instead send the money to his mother.

Asake expressed gratitude for heeding Olamide's advice, as his mother utilized the funds to establish a successful provision store, alleviating any financial burdens.

I explained the situation to Olamide and he advised me to leave the girl, he also instructed me to send the 2 million naira to my mom. I’m glad I did cause my mom was able to make good use of the money and open a big provision store. My mom doesn’t call me for financial issues anymore cause she’s doing just fine”

Olamide isn’t just a label boss, but a father as well”.
