Renowned vocalist Zinoleesky has commented on the controversy surrounding his former mentor, Naira Marley, and the impact it had on the reception of his latest track.

Recall that Naira Marley was implicated in the passing of his former protege, Imole Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

After being released from custody, many fans called for a boycott of Naira Marley's music, vowing never to support him again.

Despite Naira Marley's release, his December release 'Wahala' was largely ignored by the audience as promised.

Recently, a social media user identified as @Deyvxxd_ took to the X platform (formerly Twitter) to ridicule the singer over the poor performance of his recent track.

“I’m glad Nigerians stood on business canceling Naira Marley, He dropped a song in December Nobody send am, He’s still finding it hard to believe his career is done,” he stated.

Reacting to the claim, Zinoleesky took to his Instagram story to mock the allegations, while subtly emphasizing Naira’s career stability.

“Dey play,” he wrote in the Instagram story post.

It is worth noting that Naira Marley also addressed the claims while assuring his fans of his big return regardless of side talks.
