Adams Ibrahim Adebola, widely recognized as VJ Adams shared his experience of facing eight months of unpaid salary earlier in his career but chose to persevere.

Speaking with Chude in an interview, the prominent media personality disclosed that despite not receiving payment for eight months, he remained committed while others resigned. When questioned about the identity of the organization, VJ Adams opted to withhold the name.

He explained that he felt the work needed to persist, and his passion for it motivated him to persist despite the lack of compensation.

Additionally, he emphasized that he encouraged newer presenters to continue working without pay and expressed regret for this during the interview, believing that nobody should work without compensation.

In his words: “All other presenters resigned; they left. So there was a demand for the work to continue, and I was willing. I was working non-stop. I was showing up every day. No one should, though. At some point when other people, younger presenters, joined, and I think I’m gonna apologize to them now, I almost used because I was older and I was working to tell them to also continue working. That’s a terrible thing to do. I shouldn’t have.”
