Subsequently, his cousin provided an update on his condition, revealing that Amaechi is contending with kidney disease, diabetes, and stroke, and appealing to the public for aid.

It was disclosed that Amaechi has been undergoing weekly dialysis and physiotherapy to address the paralysis stemming from the stroke.

Presently, the actor's health has deteriorated, necessitating financial aid for a kidney transplant in India. In an online video plea, he earnestly implored Nigerians to help save his life.
