Nigerian rapper Terry Tha Rapman has leveled accusations against Grammy-winning singer Wizkid, alleging that he is responsible for the decline of the rap genre and now appears to be aiming to replicate the same impact on Afrobeats.

Wizkid came under fire from Terry Tha Rapman following his recent remarks on social media, where he disclaimed being an Afrobeats artist.

Reflecting on Wizkid's post questioning his genre alignment, Terry Tha Rapman voiced his response on the X platform, suggesting that Wizkid's previous assertion of "rap is dead" played a role in the genre's downturn, and his current statements hint at a similar agenda towards Afrobeats.

Terry Tha Rapman advised Highlife musicians to exercise caution around Wizkid, insinuating that they could be the next targets of his influence.

In his words, “First Rap, now Afrobeats. How many genres Wizkid wan kill? Highlife, run O!”
