Nollywood actor Okey Bakassi expressed deep sorrow over the unexpected passing of his esteemed colleague John Okafor, widely known as Mr Ibu, shedding tears during a poignant voice-over tribute.

Mr Ibu succumbed to cardiac arrest a few days ago, following complications from high blood pressure stemming from a series of surgeries he underwent prior to his demise.

On Instagram, Okey Bakassi paid homage to Mr. Ibu by sharing a heartfelt video montage featuring images and messages commemorating his life, accompanied by a solemn narration.

In the video, Okey conveyed his shock and disbelief at the news of Mr Ibu's death, reflecting on its tragic and sudden nature.

He recalled his visits to Mr Ibu at the hospital during his illness, noting how, despite his ailment, Mr Ibu managed to infuse the surroundings with his trademark humor and antics, leaving an indelible impression.

“It has been very difficult to process….life happens. Rest in peace, my brother and friend, John Okafor,” he captioned the video.
