An X influencer issues a public apology after fabricating a post in which they pretended to be the well-known singer Peruzzi, falsely claiming to have had an affair with Chioma Adeleke, the wife of Grammy-nominated artist Davido.

A social media user, @belikebaddy, used the microblogging platform X to create a fraudulent tweet in Peruzzi's name, implicating him in a supposed affair with Davido's wife.

The influencer, posing as the former DMW records artist, alleged that he had been unfaithful to Chioma Adeleke and had left Davido behind. Additionally, the influencer claimed responsibility for all of Davido's hit songs, asserting that Davido owed his success to him.

In an initial tweet, he wrote;

“We used to be so close, but because you hear say I Dey pipe your wife you start to give me attitude I don leave your circle sha. Ungrateful nigg* like say if I no write your songs you for blow.”



The public apology, however, followed about 24 hours later supposedly after being reached out to by the legal teams of Peruzzi.

“I apologize for posting an edited tweet which involves Peruzzi and Davido. I take full responsibility for all my actions and I promise it will never happen again. My apologies to DMW management,” he wrote in a new post.
