Maersk line, a combined container logistics and supply chain company, has halted its shipping operations in the Red Sea due to the recent attacks by Houthi rebels.

Maersk line has suspended all Red Sea activities in order to analyze the safety situation in the waterways.

The United States Navy responded to a distress signal from the Maersk Hangzhou, it claimed to have come under fire, which caused three Houthi Boats to capsize and the death of their personnel.

The Red Sea waterways is where 15% of global business logistics go through.

The Houthi rebels are attacking vessels in response to Israel military operations in Gaza, and the US Navy are ensuring the security of operations in the Red Sea by commercial vessels.
