Nigerian actor Charles Okocha is calling for the complete annulment of his recent boxing bout with Nigerian singer Portable, citing accusations of cheating and an inexperienced referee.

In the match that took place on December 26, Charles Okocha suffered a defeat against Portable, who was declared the winner based on the referee's decision, meeting all the criteria for victory in the boxing competition.

Following the announcement of the results, Charles Okocha voiced his complaints against the referee and the event organizers. He alleged that Portable removed his boxing gloves during the third round, an action that, according to him, should have resulted in immediate disqualification.

Taking to his social media page, he expressed his frustration, questioning how Portable could give up in the third round when there were four scheduled rounds and criticized the act of removing gloves in the third round, which he believed should have led to disqualification even before the fight concluded.

“Y’all know this was rigged, with an incompetent referee who knows nothing about boxing rules. Nevertheless, we move on. Rematch coming soon.”
