Renowned actor Williams Uchemba has expressed concern about the insufficient electricity supply and the scarcity of diesel to fuel generators. Uchemba shared a video on his verified Instagram page, seeking permission to vent his frustrations.

The experienced actor noted that despite his estate in Ikoyi, Lagos State, previously being known for occasional power outages, the situation has deteriorated. He revealed that the estate, which once enjoyed 24-hour electricity, now experiences frequent power shortages.

According to Uchemba, after being contacted by the PHCN manager in his area, he insisted that the estate chairman visit him to receive "Christmas money." He also lamented the scarcity of diesel in most petrol stations, causing inconvenience for his chauffeur, who couldn't find it to fuel the generator.

Uchemba disclosed that he is now compelled to negotiate with his neighbors, some of whom are selling diesel to him at N1200 per liter, and the prices have escalated.

‘’I am going mad in this country… The rich are not crying. The rich are dying. With all your money, you will die in Nigeria,” the Nollywood actor said.
