Afrobeats sensation Asake is facing criticism from Nigerians online after reportedly sending only N5 million to the ailing policewoman featured in the viral 'Help me Help me' video, which he incorporated into one of his songs.

The policewoman, identified as Mrs. Helen, gained widespread attention last year when she was seemingly 'kidnapped' by a motorist. Asake utilized her viral plea, "Help me Help me, e dey carry me go where I no know," in his song titled PBUY.

Unfortunately, Mrs. Helen was later involved in an accident while on duty, resulting in a broken leg. She revealed that she had been taken to three different hospitals, each demanding 1.5 million for her treatment.

Upon learning of the incident, Asake reportedly sent her 5 million naira. However, some Nigerians find this amount inadequate. One individual, Dr. Penking, expressed the view that the singer had profited significantly from the song and deemed the financial assistance provided to the policewoman as disproportionately small.

He wrote:

“Asake used this woman’s audio “Epp Me. Epp me. E dey carry me go where I no know” in his hit song PBUY without any settlement . That song made over 500 million in streams . This woman got into some health issues, Asake sent only 5 million after intense dragging sef. Remember that same Asake bought a house of 136 million just 2 months ago. Nigerians are not good people.”
