Renowned Nollywood actress Taiwo Ajai underscores the significance of dedication in acting, asserting that genuine actor should be open to embracing all facets of their craft, including on-screen kissing.

In a recent interview, Ajai underscores the gravity of being an actor, emphasizing the need to separate personal preferences from the roles enacted.

She contends that integrating personal beliefs, such as hesitancy to partake in on-screen kisses, into acting signals a lack of commitment to the profession.

“If you can’t kiss on screen, you’re not an actor; you don’t bring your personal preferences into play.”

In a related vein, Nollywood actor Yul Edochie contributes to the industry discourse. Edochie criticizes Nollywood producers, urging them to avoid emulating Hollywood, as he believes the Nigerian film industry cannot surpass its American counterpart in that aspect.

While acknowledging Hollywood’s substantial global influence, Edochie encourages Nigerian filmmakers to concentrate on authentic storytelling deeply rooted in Nigerian culture and traditions.

He argues that by exploring the richness of Nigerian heritage, Nollywood can not only compete but also distinguish itself on the global stage.

Yul Edochie emphasized the need for Nollywood to showcase and sell the Nigerian culture to the world, drawing a parallel with Hollywood’s success in promoting American culture. He believes that this approach would contribute to the industry’s growth and international recognition.

In a separate development, Yul Edochie has been under public scrutiny due to his personal choices, particularly his marriage to his second wife, Judy Huston, while still legally married to his first wife. Despite facing controversies and calls to reduce his social media presence, Edochie remains steadfast, maintaining an active and consistent presence alongside his second wife, Judy Austin.
