Subsequently, he extracted several grenades from his jacket pockets, attempting to gain attention by saying, "May I, may I?" before tossing the grenades into the center of the room. The explosions occurred shortly afterward.

The police statement revealed that 26 individuals sustained injuries, with six in critical condition. Medics were actively engaged in resuscitating the councilor responsible for the grenade attack.

Authorities later conveyed that the assailant had been transported to an intensive care unit in a serious condition.
