In the middle of the argument, the 24-year-old mother supposedly grabbed her toddler boy and threw him to the floor and said, "shoot your f****** son," The Times-Picayune reported.

The dad quickly rushed the baby to the local brand new Orleans hospital, where doctors revealed he had fractured his right temporal bone.

The physicians reported to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's office. The injuries sustained by the child is not life-endangering.

Rios initially denied throwing down the baby, saying she didn't know he was injured, Authorities said.  Nevertheless, she later told the detectives that she may have mistakenly drop off the baby during the heated argument, the newspaper reported.  Rios was apprehended on Friday and charged with cruelty to a child.
