In a recent statement, Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe openly discussed the profound love she holds for her husband, a sentiment that prompted her to undergo a religious conversion from Christianity to Islam.

During an exclusive interview with TVC news reporters, the renowned actress was questioned about her romantic life. Without hesitation, she responded, blushing, "I love my husband."

Delving into her emotions, she shared, "I love my husband deeply. I don't think any woman would endure what I went through if it were not for love because I really didn't have to. I mean, I'm comfortable, I have success, I have children, so it's love that motivated me."

Regarding her decision to switch religions, she clarified, "It's because of love that I made that choice, to remarry. I'm someone who values love greatly; I'm very emotional."

When asked about the specific reason for her religious transition, she explained, "I made the decision on my own. I'm a 45-year-old woman, accountable for my actions and choices."

Expanding on her perspective on religion, she expressed, "I'm quite liberal when it comes to religion. I love my husband deeply; he's very religious, a man I greatly admire. So, I just felt that."
