The Celestial Church leader, Olatosho Oshoffa, also known as the Shepherd-in-charge of the Celestial Church of Christ International Headquarters in Ketu, has denounced the invitation to the praise night of one of the Church branches for Street-hop musician Portable and Fuji singer Pasuma.

On Wednesday, an event flyer revealing that Pasuma and Portable would perform at the church’s praise night in Lagos went viral, causing a commotion on social media.

Online users criticized the church’s selection of vocalists, in response to the posting on his Facebook account on Wednesday, the Celestial Church leader said that he had discussed it with the parish’s presiding cleric and that the disputed performers would no longer be present.

“Dear Celestians, I have just spoken to the Shepherd-in-charge of the above parish at lenght,” he wrote, sharing the poster on his Facebook page.

He has committed to changing the posters.

“He has assured me that the aforementioned musicians in dispute won’t be attending the nights. The poster in question is without a doubt VERY CONDEMNABLE, God bless CCC. Amen.”
