Former BBNaija contestant Doyinsola David, popularly known as Doyin, has responded to critics who disapproved of her recent display of kindness.

The backlash arose after she expressed support for Ilebaye, the winner of the All Stars season of Big Brother Naija, prompting negative reactions.

Despite facing criticism, Doyin stood by her gesture of sending a message of strength and resilience to Ilebaye.

In response to the online hostility, she took to Snapchat to express her thoughts. Doyin questioned why acts of kindness often attract skepticism and suspicion regarding hidden motives.

Sharing her perspective, Doyin emphasized her preference for acknowledging and reciprocating kindness without overanalyzing its motivations. This underscores her belief in the straightforward nature of kindness.

She voiced her annoyance at being under continual scrutiny for her behaviour. She is accused of being phoney or sycophantic whether she helps friends, encourages them, or just spends time with them.

Doyin boldly asked if Nigerians are innately bad or if they have just never known genuine compassion.
