Androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS) is a  intersex condition where there's a partial or total inability of several cells from the affected genetic male to react to androgenic hormones. This can block or inhibit the masculinization of male genitalia from the growing genetic man (chromosomal XY) fetus, in addition to the maturation of male secondary sexual traits in puberty.
