Nollywood actress Bukunmi Oluwasina has provided insight into the current status of her close friend Oladipupo Oladimeji, widely known as Oladips, who was rumored to have passed away prematurely.

The initial reports suggested Oladips was grappling with internal struggles leading to depression.

In a recent Instagram story, Bukunmi Oluwasina addressed the speculation surrounding Oladips, emphasizing that he is still alive. She expressed her frustration with the trend where Nigerian music artists seemingly gain appreciation only after their demise.

Furthermore, she criticized those inquiring about Oladips' death and encouraged them to support him by streaming his newly released album instead.
“Do we really have to make people start thinking they have to be dead to witness the love and support they need?”

Also in an Instagram post which many confused for a goodbye the actress hinted that her friend is still alive when she disclosed how they were together last night and he wasn’t in a coffin.

“Hey soldier, Are you there?I saw you last night but it wasn’t in a box. So,why are people asking me “Are you dead?”“If I drop this album I have being struggling to make, people won’t listen.” Are you scared??.I have said this before, “You don’t put people in charge of your happiness, and expect not to be robbed.” Were you deaf?”

However, the actress noted that Oladips is still in a critical condition claiming he’s fighting for his life.

“I know you are fighting for your life where you are.I just want to remind you that you are a soldier.Forget about bosses and friends that left,In 40yrs time, we will all be dead or old.Even the new friends you call home,I’m 20 years time, they could turn foes.The battles is yours alone to fight and come home.”
