A man named, Gabriel Ogbonnaya is being held at the Nigerian Correctional Service on remand by Ikeja Sexual Offense and Domestic Violence Court for allegedly defiling a seven-year-old girl.

The Lagos State Government has preffered charges of defilement of a minor and criminal sexual asault against the man, Gabriel Ogbonnaya.

Ogbonnaya was arraigned by the court, entered a not guilty plea, and was placed under remand in jail facility while bail application was processed.

The start of the trial was postponed until January 17, 2023 in this case.

Olusola Soneye, the prosecutor, claime that the defendant violated sections 263 and 137 of Lagos State 2015 Criminal Law and that the offenses happened between February 2022 and February 2023.
