A man was detained by the Katsina Police Control for allegedly raping and impregnating his stepdaughter.

Hassan Ibrahim, 50, of Unguwar Tasha village at the Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State, was arrested for repeatedly raping his 17-year-old stepdaughter resulting in her pregnancy, currently in its seventh month.

Police also detained his friend, Adamu Idris, 60, who resides with him along with his stepdaughter at exactly the exact same house.

The duo were alleged to have raped the innocent girl repeatedly for months.

The spokesman for the state police control, Gambo Isah, who supported the development, said that the duo will be arraigned in court.

"The suspects have confessed to the offense," Gambo advised journalists.
