Residents of a central Gaza neighborhood have reported that it was completely demolished due to Israeli airstrikes overnight, resulting in thousands of people being left homeless.

During his visit to the area, Adnan El-Bursh from BBC Arabic interviewed residents. While he was in the neighborhood, the Israeli army issued a warning for people to evacuate.

Palestinian officials have stated that over 4,000 people have lost their lives in Gaza. Israel continues its airstrikes on Gaza and maintains that it is targeting Hamas-related sites.

These airstrikes are in response to the attacks by Hamas militants on Israel on October 7, during which at least 1,400 people were killed, and 203 were taken hostage. Israel is now preparing for a ground offensive.
