An aspiring singer has taken legal action against American vocalist Jason Derulo, accusing him of sexual harassment. The lawsuit, filed on Thursday, October 5, in Los Angeles Superior Court by Emaza Gibson, alleges that Jason Derulo signed her to a record deal with the intention of engaging in sexual relations with her.

Emaza Gibson, a 25-year-old emerging musician, claims that her professional association with Jason came to an end after she refused his sexual advances. She asserts that not only did Jason breach their contractual agreement, but he also reneged on the opportunities he had previously promised her.

According to People Magazine, Ron Zambrano, her attorney, stated, "The threats of physical harm and unwelcome sexual advances by Jason toward a young woman who is simply trying to establish herself in the industry were both shocking and unlawful."

Jason has vehemently denied all the allegations made against him, as communicated through his representative. In a statement provided to People magazine, Jason's representative declared, "These allegations are entirely untrue and deeply hurtful. I firmly stand against all types of harassment and remain dedicated to supporting individuals in pursuit of their aspirations."

He added that the singer was deeply offended by these defamatory allegations.

The legal docs obtained by the publication reveal that Emaza has also nominated Atlantic Records, Derulo’s label Future History Inc., and his manager Frank Harris in the complaint.

Emaza Gibson is suing the singer for sexual harassment, breach of contract, and illegal retaliatory termination.
