A prominent figure on social media, Uche Maduagwu, has strongly criticized the Nigerian government and its politicians. In response to the widely circulated video depicting the mass detainment of LGBTQ+ individuals in Delta state, he condemned Nigerian political figures for being complicit in similar matters.

Expressing deep emotions upon witnessing the police officers' mistreatment of the individuals in the video, he went on to assert that during a visit to Abuja, he personally observed that a significant majority, approximately 85%, of politicians were identifying as gay.

He also challenged any politician to come out and debunk his claims.

He went on to say that he had noticed a pattern in Nigeria where the law is only reserved for the poor.
