Nollywood veteran actor, Nkem Owoh, has broken his silence for the first time following the tragic passing of his daughter, Kosisochukwu. The sad event took place on June 28, 2023, as Kosi, who was just 24 years old, lost her battle with liver cancer. Her final rites were held on Thursday, August 18.

Taking to his Instagram on Monday, August 28, Owoh shared an official statement in which he expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming love and support his family received during this challenging period.

The 65-year-old actor conveyed a profound sense of sorrow, admitting that the loss of his daughter caught him off guard emotionally and mentally. Nonetheless, he conveyed his belief in his ability to navigate through this heartbreak.

Osoufia wrote,

“I want to thank you all for the support and love shown to me and my family
When tragedy strikes, there is nothing more heartening than knowing that you’re not alone,
It was with deep gratitude that I received your note, calls with condolences. we have seen many changes over the years. But This is a change I did not anticipate, and I am feeling an acute sense of loss. However, I know that because of your encouragement I will get through this time. Thank you for helping to push me through my grief.”
