Renowned music producer and singer, Olumide Ogunade, professionally known as ID Cabasa, has expressed deep appreciation for his wife for being the guiding light in their marriage.

In a recent podcast titled #WithChude, the artist opened up about his marital journey, the challenges they've faced, and the driving forces that have propelled them forward.

Cabasa admitted that his initial perception of marriage as an idyllic and smooth journey was shattered once he entered the realm of matrimony.

Reflecting on his marriage, he acknowledged its imperfections, revealing there were instances when he contemplated quitting.

However, he credited his wife as the anchor that has anchored him in their marriage, keeping him steadfast.

Recalling a pivotal moment, the 'Totori' crooner recounted how he almost decided to end the marriage, but reconsidered after reflecting on their shared history and the support she offered him during his university years.

Cabasa, 48, highlighted that despite his wife's imperfections, he's committed to collaboratively striving for the kind of partnership he envisions, driven by the realization that she's an invaluable gem in his life.

He added that his wife's influence has fueled his determination to persevere and achieve greater heights in their relationship.
He said he has realized his wife is the best thing that has happened to him, and he’s happy today because of her.

He said; “A lot of times I wake up and I just want to leave, but in all of those curiosities and disbelief, I have enjoyed marriage.
Because I think I married a friend, and I married someone that even when the chips are down, I really don’t want to leave.

People will say they stayed because of children, but I stayed because of my wife”.
