Chidi Nkire was detained by members of the Abia State Vigilance Group for allegedly defiling three of his minor children at their home in the state’s Obingwa Local Government Area. It was learned that Nkire reportedly kicked the victims’ mother out of their marital home after an argument led to the start of the illegal act. According to Victor Ogidinta, the secretary of the vigilance group, members of the vigilance group acted on a tip from a concerned citizen about how Nkire had allegedly been defiling his daughters, who are aged 14, 12, and 8, on Friday.

In the Obingwa LGA of the state, Nkire’s home is where they discovered he had fled to before being apprehended at a hideout in a nearby community, according to Ogidinta.

He explained, “We received a report from intelligence that someone was committing such an obscene act, and we sprang into action that day. Unfortunately, the man escaped to a nearby community, but he was later found in Osisioma Ngwa local government, where he was hiding.

He began this activity a year ago. He was at odds with their mother and drove her from their marital residence. He forced them to sleep with him after they were split up. He put their lives in danger by threatening them. He starved the kids for a while before they agreed to sleep with him. The man is, in fact, cooperating. After the incident was reported to the local police station, according to Ogidinta, the State Criminal Investigations Department in the state’s Umuahia region took over the investigation.

In a video clip seen by our correspondent, Nkire admitted to performing the sinful act, but he also attributed it to the devil and the fact that his wife wasn’t available to satisfy his sexual needs.
