The 13-year-old girl is said to have been defiled by a bouncer at a nightclub on Ojike Street in the Mile 1 axis of the Diobu neighborhood in the Port Harcourt region of Rivers State.
According to a source in the area, the bouncer, who only went by the name Obidiah, instructed the minor to buy him a recharge card for his cellphone and instructed the victim to bring the card into the room when she returned.

The source claimed that Obidiah had carnal knowledge of her because as soon as she entered the room and handed Obidiah the recharge card, he locked the door and turned up his radio.

The source went on to say that a co-tenant questioned her after noticing that the minor took some time to leave the room.

The girl then described what happened to the suspect’s co-tenant, who then informed the Mile 1 Police Division, according to the source. So, on Sunday, police arrived and took him into custody.

When contacted, Grace Iringe-Koko, the state police public relations officer, confirmed the incident and said the suspect had been arrested. She also said that a preliminary police investigation revealed that the suspect had penetrated the girl.

“The incident has been reported to the command, and the suspect is being taken into custody right now. The State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department in Port Harcourt has received the case from the Mile 1 Police Division for a covert investigation, according to the PPRO.
