Jonathan Peter, a 21-year-old man, claims that an unidentified man conned him out of his phone worth N30,000 in the Ayetoro community of the Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State.
According to information obtained by samsunblog, the suspect approached Peter and expressed interest in buying his phone.

After taking Peter to a location in the Ayetoro neighborhood and pretending to be a buyer, the suspect took off after the phone after evaluating it there and telling Peter he needed something from a nearby house.

Peter described the incident, stating, “We only worked together for two months. He told me to follow him to his sister’s home in the Ayetoro neighborhood where he wanted to buy my Infinix Smart 6 phone.

“When we arrived, he told me to wait in a corner of the house until he returned because, according to him, his sister was in a relationship and I was unable to follow him to her room.

“He had the phone with him. I remained outdoors. I no longer saw him as he turned a corner. I waited until I was exhausted and went to the house where he had come in to ask for him, but I was told that he had only gone through the house’s hallway and was not staying there.

Peter claimed he reported the incident to the Ayetoro Unit of the Nigerian Vigilance Group.

The vigilance group’s commander reacted by saying, “We went around the area to arrest the suspect but the victim could not point at the exact house,” going by the name Okeowo.

He assured the officers that the suspect would be apprehended and turned over to them.
